Lash and Brow Serums that are Lash Extension safe?!?

Are you looking to try a lash or brow serum, but don’t know which type or brand to pick?

Let me help you!

The purpose of a Lash serum is to improve the look of your lashes! This is why many people get eyelash extensions, but there are many other reasons to use these serums, even while using lash extensions.

Now some worry when getting eyelash extensions that they should avoid all Lash and Brow serums in the fear it’ll be less effective or cause the extensions to fall out sooner. With some brands of serums this is the case, as some are oil based and will breakdown the glue.

However, Melrah Beauty Lash and Brow Serums are 100% safe on Lash extensions as they aren’t oil based.

Why you should be using a Lash Serum with Extensions:

As we get older our eyelashes get thinner and weaker. As eyelash extensions are applied on top of your natural eyelashes, this means losing the lashes also means losing the extensions. So stronger healthier lashes are important and the best way to strengthen them with ease is a lash serum!

Using lash serums will extend the growth cycle of your natural lashes. As a result, you’ll be able to keep the lash extensions on longer. And the longer you keep them, the more time before you need a refill. But as the Lash Serum works it’s magic, you’ll probably find you don’t feel the need for lash extensions anymore because your natural lashes look amazing!

Which Lash Serum is Best for Lash Extensions?

One that Does Not Rely On Oil

Coconut oil and Castor oil are good for your eyelashes. It does an excellent job at conditioning them and providing growth. Because of this both are often used in lash and brow serums. However, all oils have a tendency for breaking down the glue used in Lash extensions, and often even oils in moisturisers on the face can also weaken the glue on the lashes.

Is Melrah Beauty Safe on Lashes?

It sure is! Melrah beauty doesn’t rely on oils to get the results and uses Biotin instead. This vitamin prevents hair loss by nourishing follicles. Note that Biotin is a water-soluble vitamin. It can’t be stored in the body. Meaning, you need to apply the serum daily.

Have you tried a Lash Serum before? If yes, what brand did you try and did you see results? And if not, what is holding you back?

Boho Beauty the Skincare -Review and Haul πŸ’•

With the skincare market so saturated, how do you know which products are worth investing in? Do you only pick the brands you know, try local brands, or do you rely on word of mouth?

For me, I love trying new products, especially if people I know or trust have recommended them. I also try to shop local as much as I can. Since having my little one my skin has changed quite a lot, my skin used to be extremely oily and acne prone, now I still get acne but my skin is more on the dry-combination side so I’ve had to make changes to the type of products I use.

To manage my skin I still use a corrective serum to calm and prevent breakouts, but have now had to add more hydration to my skin. I used to only use gel or matte moisturiser but now have been using a more hydrating cream. The Boho Beauty Skincare have a Hydrating moisturiser I am loving with Aloe, Glycerine, Johoba Oil, Rose hip oil and Avocado Oil to regulate oil production and keep skin healthy.

As someone with acne prone skin most of my life I have quite a bit of acne scarring and since having my little one I have developed pigmentation on my face as well. To target this I have incorporated Retinol and Vitamin C.

When using Retinol and Vitamin C, it is important not to use at the same time. Retinol is to be used at night and vitamin C in the day. These two actives also make your skin more sensitive to the sun, so SPF should also be added to your routine if it isn’t already.

Why use Vitamin C?

There are plenty of benefits to using vitamin C on your skin. They include:

  • safe for most skin types
  • hydration
  • brightening
  • reduce redness
  • reduce hyperpigmentation
  • reduces the appearance of under-eye circles
  • promotes collagen production
  • may help prevent sagging
  • may protect against sun damage
  • may soothe sunburns
  • may help wound healing

Why Use Retinol?

Applying vitamin A topically in the form of retinol can include the following benefits: Prevent wrinkles due to its minimizing effect, as well as smooth out existing fine lines and wrinkles. Brighten dull skin by exfoliating at a cellular level, which results in brighter and smoother new skin. Regulate oily skin and minimize breakouts and even Fade dark age spots, sun spots and hyperpigmentation and even out complexion over time.

Boho Beauty the Skincare Range:

Blackbough Swim! Try on haul and review!

Hey Guys,

Welcome back to my Blog! Todays Blog Post is a haul and try on of some of theΒ newest Blackbough SwimΒ Collections. I have previously done a try on haul for you guys so I thought you guys would like an updated one!

I got 5 pairs from their website:

Black flint – Maui Top and ant minimal bottoms

Miami nights – Tona twist top and Izzy bottoms

Wild cat – tallulah top and classic bottoms

Lilac – Izzy top and coco high waisted bottoms

Cotton candy pink – willow top and Brooke bottoms

The collection is really well priced; Each piece is around $40US, Some being $45, then the one pieces are $85US. The pieces are comfortable and supportive, and they are also flattering.

Here is a little try on of each pair;

First up is the Black flint – Maui Top and ant minimal bottoms;

For this set i loved the bottoms but didn’t think the thicker style of the top matched, i think next time ill get a top that suits more. Both the top and bottoms for this set were comfortable and were very true to size. I loved this pattern and i will definitely get it in other styles!

Next up is the Wild cat – tallulah top and classic bottoms, this was one of my favourite sets. The pattern was bold, the style was flattering and so comfortable! I also love that the bottoms look good on your hips or pulled up.

next up is Miami nights – Tona twist top and Izzy bottoms

I wanted to love this set but the bottoms ruined it for me, i loved the pattern and the idea of the style but the bottoms definitely didnt look good on me. I loved the top and it looked good on, but no matter what i did the bottoms just dug in and made me look frumpy. I would love to see what they look like on everyone else though, so if you have then let me know.

next up is the Cotton candy pink – willow top and Brooke bottoms

I have had this style before but in black and I love it even more in the pink. Not only does the pink make me look more tanned, the set itself is so comfy and flattering.

lastly, the Lilac – Izzy top and coco high waisted bottoms

This top was my absolute favourite, i want it in every colour, and i also want the lilac in every style!

At first when i got the full brief bottoms, i didn’t like them but they are growing on me. Do you guys prefer cheeky or full bottoms?

I am so in love with all the bikinis I was sent, there’s nothing worse then buying a bikini that is uncomfortable and unflattering. This is the second time I have gotten bikinis from them and I have loved them all!

Which is your favourite of my haul?

They gave me a code to share with you guys

Enticing candles! Review and reveal! Plus a giveaway!

Hey guys welcome back to my blog.

Today’s post is a review and ring reveal for the two enticing candles products I was sent to try.

I got the berry infusion and the coconut paradise ring candles.

The candles cost $52.95, Both with the chance to get a ring worth between $10 and $1150. Overall they are such good value because candles themselves are expensive but you also get the added bonus of exciting presents inside!

So the two rings I got ended up having equal values both being worth $99 so I got way more then my worth. They are both gorgeous rings as well and I picked my size perfect!

These are the rings I got with each candle!

I can definitely see how people get addicted to collecting the rings. The second I saw which rings I got I wanted to buy more candles and bathbombs to try find one worth the most!

They are such a great idea and honestly it’s a win win, even if you get a ring worth $10 you get a beautiful smelling candle!

The candles do take quite a while to get down to the jewellery but you can use tweezers to grab it quicker if you are impatient like me.

Overall I give the candles a 9/10 they could be a little stronger smelling, but they are amazing value, they are beautifully designed and made!

I can definitely see myself collecting more. Has anyone bought one before? What ring did you get? Show me in the comments!

Also I have a giveaway running on my insta!

Pranamat, review and first impression!

Hey guys welcome back to my blog!

I am so excited to share with you another review post. This time I will be reviewing the pranamat eco. Pranamat ECO features dozens of lotus-shaped massage stimulators that put gentle pressure on your problem areas to relieve minor aches and pains. Plus they use 100% natural and eco-friendly materials.

Here is the link to their site

Pranamat

Below is an example of what the mat looks like.

It was nothing like I expected, I was so nervous to lay down the first time, thinking it would hurt but it didn’t at all. It was almost soothing.

I found myself feeling more relaxed.

I normally spend around 15 minutes laying on it and get off toasty warm and red and feeling calm.

The reason I was so interested in trying the pranamat is because of the benefits they could bring.

These being;

– increasing your energy levels

– helping with depression and stress

– acting as a powerful pain killer

– easing muscle spasms, reducing muscle tension, and easing spinal problems

– compensating for lack of physical activity (e.g. plane flights, prolonged travel by car, prolonged work at the computer, illnesses connected with immobility)

– helping to improve metabolism and help to reduce fat and cellulite

After ordering the pranamat it didn’t take long to arrive, and came in perfect condition ready to use. I have now been using the mat 3-4 times a week for the last two weeks and definitely am noticing a difference in my stress levels and overall happiness, I am working more and harder but feel less stressed and more happy.

I honestly was sceptical when I first read about it but I can’t wait to continue using it and seeing even more of the benefits from regular use.

How it works:

The Pranamat uses the principles of acupressure and reflexology, and works on the idea that the tiny lotus spikes stimulate active nerve centres and intensify the local blood flow and lymph circulation.

This then causes the release of endorphins which act as a natural pain killer and happiness hormone that are effective in blocking pain, and producing analgesia and a overall sense of wellbeing.

More information can be found on their website as well.

Pranamat info

Review:

What I like about it; I see a real difference in even just one use.

What I don’t like; nothing except you have to be careful getting off cause I grazed my elbow (mainly cause I am clumsy)

Overall thoughts: this mat could be my saving grace, as someone who works a lot and doesn’t get a lot of free time, I find I get quick results and definitely notice more energy and less stress.

I would give it a 9/10

You definitely have to be a patient person to use it but it definitely makes a difference.

Where you can buy one:

Pranamat there is the link. They are currently on sale and come in a range of colours and packs!

If you have any questions leave them in the comments and I can answer them!

Has anyone tried them before?

What did you think?

Also guys I have some exciting things coming so definitely keep your eyes out!

Also I have a few shoots organised too!

Hair and Me! Overall review!

Hey guys, welcome back to my blog!

I hope you’ve been liking my posts recently, I’ve been trying to post more often for you guys so let me know what you think.

Recently I was gifted an amazing pack by Hair and me , so I thought I would share what I thought of them, what I recommend and so on!

In my box of goodies, I was given;

– Blonde shampoo and conditioner

– peppermint Shampoo and Conditioner

-peppermint hair mask

– detangler brush

What was my favourite;

I think my favourite would have to be the blonde shampoo and conditioner, it doesn’t overtone my hair but it keeps it nice and bright and also leaves my hair feeling conditioned and supple.

I did love the peppermint shampoo for the change in seasons though, both my partner and I both get a dry flaky scalp in winter ❄️

I noticed a major difference in the amount of dandruff I had after a week of using it as well as the irritation my scalp gets as well. In conjunction with the mask as well my scalp and hair was feeling fresh and new!

I also found using the detangling brush instead of my usual hair brush my hair was easy to brush and was left less frizzy and required less styling. Which is always a plus!

Review;

Peppermint Shampoo and conditioner; 8/10

What I love; it leaves me feeling refreshed and improves my dry flaky scalp.

What I would change; the peppermint scent is really subtle, and I love peppermint so the only thing I would change is more minty fresh πŸ˜‚

Blonde shampoo and conditioner; 9/10

What I love; it doesn’t overtone my hair and leaves it soft!

What I would change; absolutely nothing, it is perfect!

Peppermint mask; 8/10

What I love; it makes my hair soft fresh.

What I would change; again I would love it to be more minty.

Detangling brush; 9/10

What I love; absolutely everything.

What I would change; nothing. It’s perfect how it is!

Overall, I think the brand is amazing; the products are high quality and look amazing as well.

It is obvious a lot of time and effort was put into creating the products as well as packing them and sending them.

Has anyone tried Hair and me before?

What did you think? Do you have any products you recommend?

Also is there any products or brands you want me to review? Comment to let me know.
